The Hague African Festival

During springtime and Summer The Hague is absolutely one of my favourite place to be.

I live here since almost 2 years now, and yet I couldn’t manage to do whatever I want to do during those summer months, as it is always plenty of festival, activities, meeting, and outdoor places to go.

This weekend, 31st May and 1st June, The Hague will host the African Festival on it’s sixth edition. I was already there last year and I was impressed and happy to feel that amazing african atmosphere, and being married to a Kenyan man, and after my great year spent in Africa, I can’t miss it!

On saturday 31st May the first event is the concert of Fatoumata Diwarra Dr Anton Philipszaal, a great performer from Ivory cost.

This year I am planning to go again on Sunday 1st of June, when the outdoor event will take place gratis in Het Plein, Den Haag: markets, delicious food, concert, great artist, drummers, reggae and a great Flash Mob again racism with the sounds of one of my favourite songs, Vulindela, all accompanied by great DJs Erick Gava & CLEF XOUL.

This festival is my ideal beginning of the summer, a great moment to meet great people, listen to amazing music and just enjoy the experience of being there.
